Activity log

Activity Log in the sidebar is the full, filterable record of what your assistants have done — every chat, message, appointment and campaign event in one feed. The dashboard's Recent Activity card shows the last few of these; this page shows all of them.

The Activity Log page: a row of channel filter chips with counts, an assistant picker, date range and search, above a feed of activity rows

What an event is

An event is one thing that happened, recorded the moment it happened. Each row stores a channel, a one-line summary written when the event fired, the assistant it belongs to, and a timestamp.

Events are written automatically as your assistants work — you do not have to configure anything for them to appear. The same internal events also drive event-triggered Actions, but an event is recorded here whether or not you have any Action set up.

The most common events are:

Channel Recorded when
Calls A phone call is graded against its goal
Chat A conversation starts or ends, a conversation is graded against its goal, a visitor requests live chat, an agent claims or releases it, or an escalation is triggered
SMS A text message is sent or received
Appointments An appointment is booked, cancelled or rescheduled
Campaign An outbound campaign finishes
System A contact is created, updated or merged

Note

A few event types are defined but do not fire yet, so nothing lands here for them: a call completing, a form submission, an email being sent, and a campaign being paused. They are listed as reserved in the Actions event catalog for the same reason.

The feed is scoped to your organisation, so everyone in the org sees the same events.

Not everything the platform tracks lands here. Conversation transcripts live in Conversations, credit spend lives in Billing, and outcome grading lives in Analytics.

Channel chips

The row of chips at the top filters the feed by channel: All, Calls, SMS, Chat, Appointments, Campaign and System. Clicking a chip shows only that channel; All clears the channel filter.

Each chip carries a count. The counts respect the assistant and date filters — so they always describe the same slice of data the feed is showing — but they ignore the search box.

If the counts cannot be loaded, a warning strip appears above the chips and they show 0 until the page recovers. The feed itself is unaffected.

Assistant and date filters

Under the chips are three more controls, and they combine with each other and with the chips:

  • All Assistants — a menu of your assistants. Pick one to narrow the feed to its events.
  • The two date boxes with to between them set a range. You can set just a start date, just an end date, or both.
  • Search activity… matches text in the event summary, case-insensitively — a phone number, a visitor name, a campaign name. It waits a moment after you stop typing before it runs.

Tip

The end date is matched at midnight at the start of that day, so events later that day fall outside the range. To include a whole day, set the end date to the following day.

The feed

Rows are listed newest first. Each one has:

  • A tinted disc with the channel's icon.
  • The summary — for example Chat started with a visitor, or Appointment 'Intro call' booked for Dana at 2026-07-20T15:00. Long summaries truncate; hover to see the whole line.
  • Under the summary, the channel name and, if the event belongs to an assistant, a badge with the assistant's name.
  • On the right, how long ago it happened. Hover it for the full date and time.

Rows are a record, not a link — there is nothing to click.

When nothing matches, the feed is replaced by a message. With no filters set it reads No activity yet; with filters set it reads No matching activity and offers a Clear filters button that resets the chips, assistant, dates and search in one go.

Pagination

The feed shows 30 events per page. When there is more than one page, a pager appears at the bottom reading Page 1 of 4 (108 events). Moving between pages scrolls you back to the top.

Changing any filter takes you back to page 1.
